Driving Londoners to the Bournemouth coast through competition, incentives and unforgettable moments
After a competitive pitch against some of the areas best known agencies, we won the Autumn campaign for Bournemouth Coastal Bid – our challenge to drive a key demographic from London down to the Bournemouth coast for both short and longer breaks.
We created the ‘All in’ advertising campaign to promote the breadth of activities in Bournemouth, along with the ‘Moments’ social media competition to drive traffic to the website. We focused on a variety mediums including: PPC, Social Media, London Underground advertising and press to push the message primarily Londoners to get them out of the city and enjoy the benefits of Bournemouth.
We delivered a London underground campaign with a footfall of over 62 million people, almost 11,000 visitors to the tourism website, with 1,000 likes (1000% on 2013) to Facebook, securing the Spring 2015 campaign in the process.
Bournemouth Coastal Bid is a separate entity to Bournemouth Borough Council, with the primary aim of boosting trade to local tourist attractions and hotels by drawing visitors from outside the area in the off seasons
